We were honored to virtually host the UCLA Technology Development Group’s (TDG) annual LA BEST – LA Bioscience Ecosystem Summit this May. This three day event allowed registrants from throughout the world to easily access materials, view presentations and engage with content completely online. Needless to say, everything went smoothly as faculty members were easily able to share important information about the latest scientific breakthroughs and create awareness of the growing life science entrepreneurial ecosystem in Los Angeles. In addition, the event brought together entrepreneurs, researchers, start-ups and other Southern California institutions and organizations to share ideas and create relationships to further the progress of biotech and biopharma opportunities in the county.
Our conferences team was able to create a visually-impressive and very user-friendly virtual lobby, where visitors could explore resources, presentations in the auditorium, and discussions in roundtables from the comfort of their home computer.
Some of the organizations that participated in the event included several professors, researchers, and health care professionals from UCLA Health, USC Keck Medicine and Cedars Sinai, as well as venture capitalists and leaders in biotech and biopharma from organizations like Amgen and Genentech. The full agenda of the event can be found here.
We were also able to promote our sponsors in our virtual lobby with the following graphic:
And for each day of the event, we showcased that day’s agenda including presentations and roundtable talks on a dedicated page. This allowed visitors to the virtual conference to easily navigate through that day’s agenda and choose the content and presentations they wanted to tune into. The gallery below shows our some of our daily pages:
We look forward to hosting LABEST again in the future, either virtually or in person, as we hope to continue promoting its goal of investment and raising awareness of the growing industry for bioscience and innovation in the L.A. area. We also enjoyed providing attendees with a seamless virtual experience and showcasing how we can provide great virtual service for any type of conference.
We hope you’ll explore LABEST and support its noteworthy goal, as well as consider UCLA Conferences and Catering for your future virtual conference and in-person conference needs.
